I only do this when I’m 100% sure it’s fake & check multiple different ways, plus I report it. Chances are I can’t identify most counterfeits but when I do, I want to make sure no one else gets scammed. So far I’ve caught a few and Amazon usually responds quickly if it’s a car seat but with other listings they’re slow imo. If you’re a new parent (or buying gifts for one) - this one’s for you. 

These baby products are more trouble than they’re worth. 

I have 2 toddlers, I got sucked into some of the ‘new mom’ marketing, but trust me, less is more. You don’t need a lot of the stuff the registry lists tell you to get. 

These tips could save a life but at the very least, it’ll save you some money. 

And if you need alternatives, here’s some ideas:

Instead of a lounger, use the crib, play yard, bassinet or a baby mat or gym for the floor.
A bouncer/swing works too but never for sleep.

Instead of a baby walker or activity center- let the baby pull up on furniture around the house like your couch and you can get them a push walker toy. 

Neck floats- none. Hold the baby. 

Weighted blankets- a regular wearable blanket or swaddle without the weights.

Both of my kids are under 4 so it’s pretty easy for me to avoid these candies but another option is to break it up into smaller pieces. For example, a chocolate egg can be broken into smaller pieces. It’s kinda messy and a pain but definitely possible.
