Did this crystal grow after 7 days? Well now we’re growing 2 more! If you want to try this at home, the crystal growing kit is in my amazon shop! Link in insta bio💚 Just make sure the powder is FULLY dissolved first🤦♀️. It’s all trial and error, amiright?!😂 And if you’re wondering how crystals even grow… the crystalline molecules released from the supersaturated solution will begin to attach to the crystal seed, which will gradually grow and form the beautiful greeny/bluey crystal.
After 15 days, the results of our crystal growing experiment are here🙌🏼 I lit them up too💡 What do you think of the crystals?! Next up: THE PINK ONE!! This time, I’m gonna grow it in the silicone mold it came with! Thanks for your commitment being as high as mine in this lengthy process…you guys are the best!!💚
Crystals take millions of years to grow…but I’m growing one in 7 days I’ll do daily updates for the next 7 days! If you want to try this at home, the crystal growing kit is in my amazon shop! 600 days ago I planted a pineapple to see if it would actually only produce one fruit. & it’s now one of the few plants I’m actually not failing at😂🍍 The much anticipated end-of-summer update! I’m going to repot her soon but I’m scared to bring her inside!😂 #pineapple #update
Uncovering what’s really hidden underneath these rocks…I’m so excited! If you want to purchase the rock tumbler, you can find it in my amazon shop! The link is here: https://www.amazon.ca/shop/growithjessie/list/3HY7E634QWHW6?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_aipsflist_S8QVBCYKPVGX4973ABYY&language=en_US 💚
After 32 days…the rocks are finally ready for the very last step! The gem foam will tumble for 3 more (long and tiring) days, which will make them shiny. I’m so excited to see the final result! Are you? Btw, after the 3 days pass, I’m going to try different types of glass and sea/beach rocks, so let me know if you have any suggestions for me and I will totally try do it!💚 The rocks tumbler is in my amazon shop if you want to purchase it! Link in bio 🙏 #rocks #tumble #kit #results
I grew chia seeds on my nails and this is the final result💅 Thoughts on the look?😉 After 8 days and lots of trial and error, I’m dropping a 5-minute video this Friday to share the full story!💚 But…it worked and it’s safe to just call me Miss. Grinch now🎄
Guess my unconventional methods trying to crack rocks open worked just fine 😉 Let me know if you have any suggestions on opening the last 3! You can purchase the rock geode kit in my amazon shop btw! Link in bio💚 #rock #geode #fyp
How feeding my venus fly trap 1 bug accidentally made me grow 1000 Thanks so much for watching my channel this week!🪲 Check out my amazon store for the mealworm enclosure: https://www.amazon.ca/shop/growithjessie 💚 #metamorphosis #mealworm #grow
When chia seeds land in your cement cracks, you get this. Chia seeds are expensive, so I made a garden to see if I could grow them myself and 2 years later I’m here with quite the update. Thank you so much for watching my channel this week! Don’t forget to subscribe and I’ll see you next week!
Tumbling geodes to uncover what’s underneath the surface 🪨 I bought these geodes to hammer open…and when I couldn’t crack them open, I decided to tumble them to see the fortress hidden inside! Geodes take millions of years to form - they’re hollow rocks where crystals live! They form when water seeps into cracks in the rock, and layers of minerals build up. I can’t wait to see what’s inside! You can purchase both the geodes and rock tumbler in my amazon shop - the link is in my bio💚
I put a strawberry under the microscope to see what lives on them🍓(not to grow the bugs, dw😜) To clean your strawberries do a vinegar baking soda wash - just fill a bowl with water, add your strawberries, add 1/4 cup of vinegar, and then 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Watch the reaction eruption take place, mix it around with a spoon, poor it out, rinse and enjoy ya berries!💚 #strawberries #microscope #science #fyp #stem
In the wise words of the Veruca Salt..”daddy, I want a squirrel” - here’s the long awaited updated y’all have been waiting all summer for🥑😂 How long it really takes to grow an avocado seed🥑 #avocado
Some think it’s mold - but it’s cream top milk!🥛 Trying it was an adventure! Cream top milk is a natural result of milk fat globules rising to the top in whole, non-homogenized milk! So would that technically make it butter?🤔 Homogenized milk is treated to prevent the fat from separating and rising to the top. It’s creamy, rich, smooth…and it tastes so good! So I’m going to try and find other brands to try bc I want to see which milk can produce the thickest cream top! Thank you to all the amazing farmers who make this delicacy a possibility!
Apparently when you dissolve 2 ingredients in water with food colouring, it can produce crystals! So I obviously tried it 🙃 There are two ingredients that help plants grow big and fast. So I took those two ingredients and experimented to see if instead of growing plants, i could grow crystals. I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. I got this peacock and I dipped the edges in food colouring. Then I added those two ingredients that help plants grow at the base of my peacock - potassium and phosphorous. When I mixed them together with water, they dissolved and then the liquid started to climb up the peacock, which is actually a process called capillary action, you can compare it to the way plants drink water from their roots up through their stems to give the leaves more life and to help them grow! Once the liquid was done climbing the peacock, it evaporated and that’s when I began to see little tiny bits start to stick together and crystallize, forming what we know as crystals! I learned that when you dissolve potassium phosphate in water together with a food colourant, it can produce beautiful crystals that match the shape the form on! So…not only did we grow crystals but we also learned that there actually is a way to make plants grow bigger and stronger. Cool, huh? #crystals #grow #cool #science
