From our treehouse retreat center lookout, we witness the most magical moments! This one is a mama whale teaching her baby how to breach! Watching from above with my own magical mama, I was reminded that the best way to learn is by watching, doing, and, most of all, playing! What’s the most amazing thing you’ve learned from your mama? Magical Mama and I set off on a treasure hunt—but instead, we found our octo-bestie Ocho stuck in a cave with an eel! Eels do eat octopus, and this moray looked extra hungry. But not today! We dove in and helped Ocho escape just in time. Did you know octopuses have 9 brains, 3 hearts, and can change color when they’re scared, excited, or trying to blend in? Watch till the end for Ocho’s magical color-shifting trick to stay hidden from predators. Wild! Do you see it? #AlisonsAdventures #OctopusRescue #EelVsOctopus #OceanBuddies #SaveOurSeaLife #OchoTheOctopus #UnderwaterAdventure #NatureIsWild
From the jungles of Home Sweet Treehouse to the jungles of our nation’s capital, it was an honor to team up with the French Embassy and United Nations to ride a wave of ocean change. Meeting the French Ambassador to the U.S. and his passionate, dedicated team showed me how powerful it is when countries come together to protect our planet. Seeing my film on the big screen was surreal and reminded me that storytelling and social media are powerful tools for impact. Excited to see what flows from the UN Ocean Conference in Nice, France this June. Even a simple share of this video can make a splash and inspire the next wave of content creators for good. I rarely wear more than a swimsuit at home sweet treehouse, but I was getting dressed up for my birthday party today and this little guy was in my bra🫣🦎 How cute is he when he wiggles! PS at the end that’s my fiancé cutting wood for my birthday fire. We are gonna have some coconut s’mores! what should we name him?
Ocho had a baby!!! Well… more like hundreds of thousands! Did you know a mama octopus can lay up to 500,000 eggs? She guards them without leaving—even skipping meals—until they hatch into tiny, perfectly formed baby octos. But here’s the wild part: once they hatch, they’re completely on their own. No parenting manuals, no bedtime stories—just a solo swim into the big blue. Only a few will survive, but each one carries Ocho’s wild spirit and squiggly smarts into the ocean Let’s hear it for Ocho the OctoDad and his brand-new ocean legacy! #AlisonsAdventures #OchoTheOctopus #OctopusBabies #OctoDad #OceanLife #MarineMiracles #ProtectWhatYouLove #TinyButMighty
QUIZ TIME: Which famous fairytale castle was inspired by this one behind me? Any guesses? Leave yours in the comments. This stunning mountaintop fortress is Neuschwanstein Castle, built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Known as the “Fairytale King,” he poured his heart into this dramatic escape, drawing from myths, music, and medieval dreams. One fascinating fact is that it was one of the first buildings in the world to have a telephone, even though there were only a few lines available in the region at the time. Another? It includes a man-made cave inside the castle, created to mimic a mythical grotto from Wagner’s operas. I got to walk through that cave and it truly felt like stepping into a storybook with full on stalactites and stalagmites sparkling from the ceiling and floor! Inside the castle you’ll also find a giant chandelier shaped like a crown, hidden toilets that flushed in the 1800s, and a dining table that could lower through the floor so Ludwig didn’t have to see servants. His bedroom features over-the-top wood carvings that took 14 craftsmen four years to complete, and was lit by more than 600 candles. As for me, I got to live out my own fairytale moment here, complete with a castle kiss…. PS: EXCITING NEWS There is one more chance coming soon to enter the giveaway for a magical stay at the AMERON Neuschwanstein Alpsee Resort and Spa, right beneath the castle.
