Let’s talk about the worst last-minute decision I made before flying to Dubai… 👀 I randomly decided a few days before my flight that I wanted tape-in extensions. There wasn’t enough time to order from a proper hair supplier, so I thought, “Let me check Amazon — surely Prime will save the day.” I even picked the highest-reviewed tape-in extensions I could find. Big mistake. At first glance, the hair looked nice — soft, silky, and shiny. But the moment I opened it, there was this weird smell. I figured it would go away after a few washes (as it usually does), but even after washing, something just felt off. And although the hair was silky, it was too silky — it wouldn’t blend with my natural hair at all. If you wear extensions, you know after a few washes they usually settle and start to look more natural. But this? Stayed slippery and separated from my hair no matter what I did. I made it work (barely), but honestly, I was stressing about it my entire holiday. For what I paid, it just wasn’t worth it. Amazon extensions might be convenient, but if you want something that lasts, blends, and doesn’t come with a weird chemical smell… this ain’t it. In this video I’m removing the tape-ins using alcohol to break down the sticky adhesive — it works, but trust me, it took forever and I was so over it at this point. If you’re planning tape-in extensions before a trip or special occasion: don’t leave it last minute, and don’t settle just because it’s available with Prime.
