The reason my curls last so long Is… the “curly sleep bun” ✅ There is no official name for this really it’s just the way I pin my hair up at night to preserve the curls 🌛 I find this to be the most effective method for me and it’s worked on all of my different hair lengths. I’ve found this to also be the most effective way to preserve volume and curl at the root and avoid stretching in that area. It’s very easy to take out, and occasionally I’ll just add any serum I have if I see frizz. ➰The pins don’t hurt at all as they’re not clipped into the scalp they’re attached to the hair scrunchie. I pin them at the front so it’s easy to sleep on my side and back. I’m not comfortable sleeping with anything on my head at night which is why i personally don’t use a bonnet or anything similar. if you experience these curly styling problems ❌you need to be curl stacking! ✅ 💬 this just means: making sure you’re styling 3D not 2D. Even if you have lower dentisty/ less hair to stack you will still benefit from styling your curls with curl stacking in mind and layering the hair ❌Styling 2 dimensional on 1 singular layer will cause you to experience flatter roots, less depth and may cause a mess as you see in the video. You can do all of this with your hands. If you’re tempted to to use a brush like you see in the beginning clip for more bouncy clumps you can still do that but ensure you rake from your roots afterwards to create dimension in the hair. If you’re styling soaking wet you’re less likely to experience stringy curls as a result. ❓I applied my leave in cream before curl stacking and then applied my gel as you see in the video before flipping my hair up! 💌 I hope this helped! Curly hair routine for beginners ✅ 🫧 this is an uncomplicated easy routine, especially if you’re overwhelmed with how to start embracing your curls ➡️ I find simply raking and brushing through a product on soaking wet hair to be crucial for the base of your routine use a conditioner or cream of choice. Brushing through means you’ll evenly distribute and will less likely have frizz. ➡️ after applying a cream go in with your favourite gel, (unless this gel is is extremely strong and sticky) rake this through like you did the leave-in and brush to distribute the product. if the gel you’re using is too strong and sticky don’t brush it through just glaze and scrunch it ➡️ rake your roots away from your scalp to ensure you have volume and the hair doesn’t dry flat and scrunch on either side shaking the roots slightly. ➡️ if your hair starts to dry during this process, make sure to add more water this will help with product application brushing and limit frizz from your result ➡️ diffuse your hair or air dry. 🎉👏🏼🥳🎊🙌🏼 Products I used in this vid are from @Tootilab they were given to me as part of a previous collaboration with the brand!
