All these years later and I still get emotional when talking about the adoption of my son, Anthony Mutabazi.. About 8 years ago, I got a phone call regarding a little boy who needed to be watched over the weekend. I was hesitant, it was my early years of fostering and I was learning how to get over my fear of attachment but then I quickly said yes. I find out he was abandoned at the hospital by his previous adoptive parents.. it was heart wrenching to see the pain he was going through. I can't believe my little boy is 19 now. Where did the time go? 💔 Currently very emotional writing this because I remember the night Anthony first came to me. Earlier this year, my son and I attended my youngest brother's wedding in Uganda. It was a blessing for him to finally meet my family in Africa and a joy for us to do the things I did growing up. It was a joy to show him where I grew up and my culture. Everyone was so happy to finally meet him and of course, he melted their hearts He fitted in so quick, I was shocked!
