Remember the Mama and her babies who were dumped at a local business? Well, we have great news ❤️ Mama Venti ended up being adopted by one of the veterinarians at our vet clinic. She is living her best life now. All of her babies, except for one, have also been adopted. The only baby still looking for their forever home is Horton. If you're interested in adopting Horton, please fill out an adoption application by visiting the link in our bio @catsofsanbernardino P.S we don't have an update on the lady who dumped Venti and her babies. A few things we do know. The Amazon box she dumped the kittens in did not belong to her. Her license plate was recorded, and the authorities do know where she lives. We don't believe there is much follow-up being done. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is far too common.

Theodore is doing really well. He seems to be less shaky and more sure of himself. He is eating like a champ, and I think he is stable enough to take a bath. Tonight, Theo is hanging out with us and lounging by the fire. We got our first trick or treaters EVER this year, so it's been a pretty exciting evening thus far 😅 We hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween 🎃 P.S. we will have a Herakles update tomorrow. He's doing great!

Everest Update! Everest is the kitty that was attacked by two dogs. For a kitty who was attacked, he is in pretty decent shape. He has A LOT of bruising along with a broken pelvis and broken leg. Once he has healed up a bit, he will need FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery. This is a surgery that removes the head of the femur to treat painful hip conditions. He isn't currently able to walk, but we are managing his pain. He was so sore at first that he was holding in his pee and had a lot of blood in his urine. He is now peeing normally. Please consider donating towards Everests' FHO surgery. We will have more updates as Everest continues to heal ❤️

We got some more heartbreaking news about Theodore. The x-rays showed that he had been shot at least twice. One of the pellets had previously broken his leg. Poor Theodore suffered on the street with a broken leg all alone. We always thought that his weird gait might be due to a neurological disorder, but his stance and odd movements are actually just due to his leg healing incorrectly. Doctor said that she can remove both of the pellets once he's strong enough. For now, we will continue to shower him with love and work on getting him strong enough for surgery. Thank you to all of our donors. Without you, none of this would be possible .

TNR is back, baby! We caught 4 kitties from a cared for colony last week. We also had a surprise rescue 😅 The release at the end of this video only shows 3 kitties because one was cryptochid and was released separately. We will be back out for Live TNR this Thursday. We hope you can join us 🤗 Our disclaimer about TNR Below: A little info about these cats for new folks to our page: All of the cats that were released have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They were returned to the same location where we caught them. They all have designated colony caretakers. Meaning they receive food and water every single day. Our caretakers look after these kitties and let us know if they ever need medical attention. We microchip the cats so that we can be notified if they ever come in to harms way. This would deam the area unsafe for future returns. This has never happened. These cats are not a harm to the very URBAN environment that we live in. They are not catching endangered birds. We are in the center of an urban city. If anyone is worried about the wildlife, please ask why humans decided to put a giant city in the center of it. These feral cats are a product of human ignorance and people not spaying and neutering their pets or believing cats are meant to live outside. These cats are feral, they cannot adopted and domesticating every feral is not an attainable solution. In the amount of time it would take to tame one feral, we could save countless friendly, adoptable cats. Anyone who has a negative opinion on TNR, please share with us what you're doing to fix the feral cat problem. And no, mass euthanasia doesn't work! #tnr #savinglives #catrescue #kitten #kittens #cat

New Rescue Alert! We were contacted about a kitty who made the mistake of jumping into a yard with dogs. The owner of the dogs heard the commotion and was able to rush outside and get the dogs away from him. The owner then put a laundry basket over him so he wouldn't run away while hurt and started looking for help. We were able to get out there and get the little guy. The dog owner sat beside the kitty until help arrived. He seems stable but will need a full assessment by our vet. Stay tuned for updates.

New Rescue Alert! We were contacted about a kitty who was living outside and experiencing difficulty walking. We weren't sure what to expect, but we asked the finder to bring her into our vet today. Our vet suspects that she has CH (cerebellar hypoplasia). CH is a condition kittens usually develop while in the womb when mom is sick with panleukopenia. Their isn't a cure, and kitties remain wobbly for their entire life. When we found out this girl had been surviving outside, despite the finder caring for her, we knew we had to take her in. We are also going to rule out FIP because the symptoms are similar to cases we have previously treated. Our girls name is Michi. Michi also has mange and an Upper Respiratory Infection that we are treating. Kitties with CH don't know they are different and live normal lifespans. They are extremely sweet and do everything other kitties do, just a wobbly version. We will have updates on beautiful Michi, and she will be available for adoption ❤️

For TNR this week, we got 2 boys and 2 girls. Unfortunately, one of the kittens we got had a lot going on and didn't survive even with medical intervention 💔 This is just one of the reasons TNR is so important. So many kittens are just born to die 💔 Thankfully, this particular colony only has one more female left that we need to catch. No more babies. We will be out doing TNR again on Thanksgiving if anyone wants to join us on our live stream. We rescued Target off of the euthanasia list at the shelter. He had a bad eye that the shelter staff thought needed to be removed. We ended up rescuing Target along with his two siblings(who were quickly adopted to awesome homes). With some love and care, we were able to save Targets eye, and we started looking for his forever family. That family didn't come along after a couple of months, and he went to be with his amazing foster Mama Alivia. For the next year and half, Target went to almost every single one of our adoption events, and he was somehow overlooked every time. Target was always the star of the show. He's confident and so loving, but no one ever applied to adopt him. At our last adoption event, Target finally got the family he had been waiting so patiently for 😭 Sometimes, it just takes time to find the perfect family ❤️ Thank you to his new family and his wonderful foster for taking such good care of him while he waited for his happily ever after. Have a great life, big boy!!
